Sriracha Soul Vegan Popcorn Is Born 🌶️✨
I whole-heartedly admit, as an Asian, I am a sucker for bold flavours. Sweet is nice, salty is classic, but add a bit of spice and I’m all in. That’s exactly how our new Sriracha Soul vegan spicy popcorn was born.
It started one evening in my kitchen in 2023 — just me, a bottle of sriracha, and a bowl of popcorn. I've tried so many versions of this from the US and Asia but found it never really hit the mark with me. That tangy chilli heat with a garlicky punch is irresistible. Ever since, I knew it had to join the PopCornaa line-up. Anyone that knows me, knows I love a challenge. Despite many sleepless nights, and failed batches, I finally cracked it!
Last year, when the Isle of Man Food & Drink Festival was cancelled, Fire Island stepped up with their very first Chilli & BBQ Festival in Castletown Square. We signed up right away — it felt like the perfect event to showcase our bold new drops of Asian-inspired popcorn. We brought our Spicy Gingerbread popcorn and created a limited-edition Vegan Dark Chocolate & Chilli flavour especially for the event. The atmosphere was electric — a buzzing food crowd, great community spirit, and a festival that quickly became one of my highlights of the year.
This year marks the second Fire Island Chilli & BBQ Festival, now at Onchan Pleasure Park on Saturday 13th September, 12–9pm. We were a little later confirming this time 😅, and in the end there was no way PopCornaa could miss it. Fire Island’s festival has already become a must-visit part of the Isle of Man food calendar and the perfect place for us, as a chilli loving soul, to introduce our latest.
That’s why we’re so excited that this Saturday will be the first ever public tasting of our Sriracha Soul vegan popcorn— ahead of our big online relaunch on the 18th of September.
